I am soooo lucky to have clients like Katie, Bryan, and their families! I feel really privileged to have been there to capture a few of the precious moments of their lives. It's been so much fun getting to know them, their families, and their friends. We had a great time during their San Francisco Engagement Session and Foresthill, CA Wedding. We've seen Katie and Bryan many times since their special day - always happy, smiling, and totally fun! We've covered the weddings of their extended familes and friends and in a few weeks I'll be photographing Katie's sister Lauren's senior portraits! I'm really looking forward to having another opportunity to connect with these great people. I know we'll have a blast!
Without gushing too much…I have to say how blessed I am to be doing something I love this much (arms stretched as wide as possible). It's truly a gift to have a job that brings so many great people into my life and creates so many treasured friendships. I wish you guys a lifetime of happiness and success and can't wait to catch up with soon.
Clients Note: Big news!!! We've just added a brand new, super cool album proofing tool exclusively for you! You can now see a slideshow of your album, flip the pages one by one, groove on some cool music, approve your album for printing, or request any changes you'd like. So click here for an even bigger and better look at your album. Your password is the Groom's last name (lowercase).

Erin and Arian tied the knot at the beautiful La Playa Hotel in Carmel-by-The-Sea, CA. They're both huge hockey fans and actually met in online hockey forum!!! I love it. Check out their Engagement Session for a fun Erin & Arian hockey photo. They even named each of their reception tables after hockey players. Score!
This was a really touching, fun, and special day. I really love these guys, they're super sweet and fun to be around. It was great to see them so happy. With so many of their awesome family members and close friends there to share the joy, it was easy to feel all the love in the air.
Big thanks to my photo wing man Dennis Urbiztondo for his fantastic images. See the DU link next to a few his great contributions.
Congratulations Erin & Arian! I wish you both many blessings and tons of happiness :-) Thanks so much for making me part of your special day!
Update: I posted these pretty late last night and planned to write the photo captions this morning. Erin beat me to the punch! So here, in a Corsentino Photographer's Blog first, I'm using Erin's photo captions instead of mine. Erin's captions add a lovely personal touch to the post. Thanks Erin!
Ironically I barely drank any champagne that morning because I was too busy drinking tea with valerian and St. John's Wort in an attempt to stay calm. Successful one, too! I was chill. I even surprised myself. - Erin

My dress was Grace Lynette by Maggie Sottero, in diamond white over light gold. I got it from Eva's Bridal in Oak Lawn, IL (southside suburb of Chicago) and they shipped it out to me in Oregon where I live with no problems. - Erin

Obviously I'm biased, but Arian is hot. Of course in this shot he was also petrified about his speech. - Erin DU

My grandmother was a big part of my upbringing, but in her 90s she was not well enough to fly out. The charm bracelet is hers and she wore it all the time (it was my "something borrowed"). There is a charm for each of her children and each of her grandchildren. As for the rosary, it belonged to my beloved Aunt who sadly passed away last November. - Erin

There's my charm! To the right you can see Julia's (she is one of my bridesmaids, and my cousin). - Erin

This was how I incorporated the rosary and charm bracelet . - Erin

If I look terrified it's because I'm sure I'm about to fall....it was a LONG way down those stairs, you only see the tip of the iceberg here. This is one of light three flights of stairs down to the lower level of the garden. - Erin

Being presented. At this point all my worries are over but Arian's still freaking over the impending speech. - Erin

After the ceremony we had a cocktail period where champagne and hors d'oeuvres were served, also in the garden but a couple steps up from the ceremony terrace. Arian doesn't drink, though, so he doesn't have a glass here. - Erin

We saved loads on florist expenses by getting married in a garden! - Erin

Some random guests of the hotel saw us taking photos and offered up their room's window as a setting. Michael (the photographer) jumped on it and look how nice it worked out!! I love this shot. - Erin

What a great time in our country's history!! Congratulations are due to both Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton. Whatever your political beliefs are and whatever the outcome of the presidential race is, I believe they've both done the country a tremendous service by pushing us past our historical boundaries and bringing us into our future.
The Fifteenth Amendment protecting the rights of African Americas to vote wasn't added to constitution until 1870!! It's incredible to think that it's taken 138 years for an African America candidate to lead a major party ticket!! It's quite an achievement for Barack Obama and all of us as a nation.
Women in this country weren't allowed to vote until as recently as 1920 when the Nineteenth Amendment to Constitution became law!! Now, here we are 88 years later and Hilary Clinton, a smart and powerful women has come within close reach of the presidency. Pretty amazing events given our history!! Not to mention that our current Speaker of the House Of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi is the first female in our Country's history to hold this very important position.
All of this makes me so proud of our evolving and progressing nation. Again as Americas, whatever your politics, these are incredible achievements and historical milestones that deserve our attention, respect and pride.
I made this image during last weekend's annual Haight Street Fair. This cool street stencil of Barack Obama was on the corner of San Francisco's famous Haight & Ashbury intersection. It seemed like the perfect image for this auspicious month in our Country's history. I love great stencil art and always make it a point to grab shots of the best and most creative stencils wherever I am.
Wishing all Americans and the rest of the world a great and happy June!!
