Technically speaking, this was my first ever, honest-to-goodness, bona fide engagement session! And wow, it was so much fun!! Here's what I mean. To date, the couples who've hired us for their engagement sessions have already popped the question. Well thanks to Sal Cincotta, that's no longer the case. Sal and Taylor, of Sal Cincotta Photography, are an awesome St. Louis-based photography team who flew to the Bay Area to celebrate Valentine's Day in style, or so we thought. As it turned out, Sal had a few other plans :-)
To be asked by other photographers to be their photographer is a real compliment. It's also kind of stressful! I'm so happy Taylor found me and trusted me to capture her and Sal's special day. The fantastic, happy and talented people I get to meet in this business is one of the main reasons I love it so much.
Golden Gate Park was our first location and we got some really fun and romantic shots. Then we headed back to our nearby studio for a quick change of clothes and got ready to move on to The Presidio for some beautiful shots with the Golden Gate Bride in the background. While Taylor was in the other room, Sal called me aside. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a gorgeous diamond engagement ring! Sal told me he was going to pop the question and ask Taylor to marry him during our shoot at the next location!!! Awesome. I love it! Soooo romantic. Now the pressure was really on!! No worries, I knew I'd nail it for them :-)
What a great story. I love a good surprise!!!! This was such a cool and romantic idea Sal! You guys rock.
For all you guys out there planning to pop the question, give us a ring before you give her the ring. We'll keep your plans a secret and capture your engagement magic during a beautiful portrait session!!
